TRIZ is a systematic way of improvement. TRIZ4U is a systematic way to learn TRIZ.
Vladimir Shapiro

Since graduated from Kishinev Institute of Rural Machinery Construction, USSR, Vladimir has produced 15 patented designs. The designs range from “Filter Centrifuge”, System for Measuring the Structural and Rheological Characteristics of materials” to Valve Drive. His publication in scientific journals include “research and Design of Hydrociclone”, Mathematical Model of Hopper for mixed Fodder”.

Vladimir spent more than three years working with a team that developed the Ideation software tools and has presented a large number of problems solving workshops using these tools.

The woks particular explained in follow papers:

  1. Project Cassandra: work guidelines, perspective. Volume 3(1992) of Journal TRIZ.
The application package CASSANDRA made for forecasting the development of engineering systems includes a number of subroutines providing for the analysis of object in question, as well as the choice, definition and solution of improvement problems, the check of solutions obtained in terms of design, process compatibility, ergonomics and possible hazards.
  2. Project Cassandra: construction of EDLS, hierarchical structure. Volume 3(1992) of Journal TRIZ.
Translation from traditional method of using TRIZ-with instructions and methodology recorded on paper-to software products requires that basic materials be adapted to computer applications. For the project Cassandra a translation of engineering System Development Laws was made, proceeding from forecasting goals, step- by- step development and deepening contradictions, as well as in depth perfection of objects.
  3. Forecasting the development of control & management systems., Volume 3(1992) of Journal TRIZ.
A computer program for development of control and management systems uses, along with TRIZ forecasting methods, main concepts, and methods of state-of-the- art metrology. The program is aimed at higher accuracy, higher speed, better sensitivity and wider range of measurements; it uses measurements-specific statements of Ideal Ultimate Results. Description is given of main lines of development of the measurement-control system.
Vladimir has more than 20 years of experience as a project and design engineer. His extensive experience includes design and development of a wide range of mechanical equepment and systems, preparation of technical documentation for prototyping and implementation. Vladimir currently completing a Phd on the evolution of technological Systems at RMIT.
